Who is the course for?
Garden to Vase is for aspiring or experienced gardeners who want to grow amazing flowers. It’s also for floral designers who want to expand into growing as a way to build their business and have access to the best materials possible.
Who is the course not for?
This course isn’t for people who like the idea of gardening but know deep down they don’t have the time or interest.
I know the course is delivered over four weeks. But I don’t have four weeks to devote to this right now.
No problem! The course content is delivered to you over four weeks via a series of in-depth but easy-to-digest modules that you can work through at your own pace. If you’re purchasing the course in the height of your busy season, you can skip through to the highlights and the exercises for quick results, and then work through the rest of the content when you have more time.
I’m unable to pay the full amount now. Do you offer payment plans?
Unfortunately, not at this time.
Do you accept credit cards and Paypal?
Yes! The e-commerce system supports Paypal and credit cards.
What’s the format?
The course is delivered electronically via a private membership site. There is written text, images, video, and downloadable pdf exercises. You also have access to a private forum where you can connect with your teacher and other flower growers.
Will I receive everything at once?
Upon completion of your registration, you’ll have immediate access to the membership site and Modules 1 and 2. Modules 3 and 4 will be released week 2 (following your purchase), Modules 5 and 6 will be released week 3 and Modules 7 and 8, plus the Bonus materials, will be released week 4. You’ll receive an email each week letting you know when the new modules are available. At the end of the four weeks, you’ll have a minimum of one year’s access to the course website.
What if I’ve never grown anything before?
Then you’re in the right place. The course is designed for anyone with a passion for cut flowers. If you have some experience growing flowers, there’s lots here for you. If you’ve never grown a single thing in your life, I’ve got you covered.
What if I’ve already tried growing flowers but it hasn’t worked?
I’ve been there. My first few years growing flowers was all trial and error. I made a tonne of mistakes and learned so much. With this course, I’m teaching you from experience. I share the information and techniques I’ve tried and tested and that I know work.
What if I’m in the UK or Australia (or somewhere outside North America?
The course has been specifically designed for an international (English speaking) audience and attracts students from all over the world. The gardening information will be relevant no matter where you live. And of the 15 flowers covered in the course, most have varieties available that will work for your particular zone and microclimate. Please note that tropical flowers are not covered in the course.
What sort of results can I expect?
Using the techniques you learn from this course, you’ll be able to create a beautiful, healthy and productive cut flower garden with confidence and ease. You’ll learn what you need to do to create a great garden this season, and what you need to do now to put in the place the foundation for a thriving garden that lasts well into the future. You’ll know what to grow and how to grow it; the information and techniques in this course will show you how to grow almost any cut flower (and flowering shrub and vine and bulb) you want.
Does the course cover pricing for flower markets/flower stands?
No. The business of growing cut flowers isn’t covered in the course. One of the bonuses, however, does include information on how to sell your cut flowers to florists.
What if I already know how to cultivate a kitchen garden?
When I started growing flowers, I had several years of having my own kitchen garden and had apprenticed with several organic vegetable farmers. Little of what I learned applied to growing cut flowers.
What if I want to be a flower farmer (not a gardener)?
The content is extremely useful for flower farmers, just know that the course doesn’t focus on learning about the infrastructure needed for large-scale production such as growing in greenhouses, working with tractors, tillers, etc.
What if I’m too busy?
I understand that you’re busy, and I took this into account when designing the course. The course content is delivered to you over four weeks via a series of easy to digest modules that you can work through at your own pace. If you’re purchasing the course in the height of your busy season, you can skip through to the highlights and the exercises for quick results, and then work through the rest of the content when you have more time.
Also, the way I designed the course was to make it streamlined. I don’t want to waste your time with info that isn’t central to the question of how to grow great flowers. At the same time, I wanted to give you options for how to approach your gardening, so you don’t feel locked into a one-size-fits-all approach. I hope I’ve struck the right balance.
The course answers the most common questions beginners face, along with some of the common mistakes people make. If you’re just starting out and want to grow great flowers this season, this course will surely help you, and save you time and money.
